This was our second visit this year. We are leaving again very pleased.
The beach is sandy and the sea has stones, I recommend you to come with sea shoes. Guests from outside the hotel can be taken to the beach for a fee, which was the biggest negative aspect for us. We asked, and they said that the municipality wants it this way. We also learned that some hotels in the area do not accept guests from outside the hotel. If you observe the area when the beach is noisy, you can easily observe people coming from outside without hotel wristbands. We expect this practice from Aqua as well, that is, customers from outside the hotel should not enter the beach. Many thanks to the lifeguard on duty at the beach, Şükrü Bey, and Uncle İsmail who looks after the cleaning.
The food is generally good, tasty, but we had a problem with salt. In terms of taste, the food was aimed at foreign tourists. Kebabs, fish and chicken/turkey are grilled every day. The food served in the grill section is very good, especially the kebabs are great. Since we could not find what we expected in the stew section, we filled our stomachs from the grill section. Frankly, we expected classic Turkish dishes, which are beans and chickpeas. We were satisfied with the appetizers except for sarma and dolma. The desserts were legendary, the sherbets and the cakes were all five stars. The snack bar was also good, the pide (especially the minced meat and cheese one was our favorite) and the hamburger were nice.
We were satisfied with the rooms and the cleanliness, we had no complaints. The hotel is compact and everything is at your fingertips. In that respect, we were very comfortable. It is a quiet and peaceful hotel where you can relax. Most of the customers are foreign nationals, Turkish customers are few. Thanks to the cleaning staff.
The staff is smiling and educated. We need to open a separate parenthesis for the restaurant manager Ahmet Bey: he is the backbone of the hotel… You can see Ahmet Bey everywhere: the restaurant, snack bar, lobby, he works like the normal staff. He is smiling, hardworking and manages the team very well. Thanks to the waiters Enes, Muhammed, Hüseyin, Cemal, Zafer Bey. We were satisfied with the smiling faces and services of Nilüfer Hanım, Ayşe Hanım and Özer Bey from the kitchen team. The animation was very successful, the programs and entertainment were nice. Greetings to the head of the animation team Mehmet Ali Bey and his team Berker and Berkin (aka Crazy Twins) 🙂
We would like to thank Elvan Hanım and Birol Bey from the reception team for their helpfulness. We are currently on our way back to Istanbul, our hearts are set there 🙂
See you next year Aqua Hotel..!
